Celebration South Was Indescribable..

...but I'll try!

We arrived on Friday night tired after a 3 hour trip that should have taken only 2! Brent Detwiler spoke the opening message on Justification reviewing for us this truth through the life of Martin Luther. This was part one of a two part message that he finished on Saturday night. Saturday morning he took a detour and spoke on the truths of reformed theology, commonly called T-U-L-I-P. His text was John 6:35-45, 60-65 with Election being his primary focus. These were all things we have heard before, but can never hear enough! Sunday morning the meeting was specifically for parents and their teens. It was a time of heart felt confession and repentance as many teens responded by coming forward for prayer and being reconciled with their parents. Sunday night was our traditional Update on all that God is doing in our region and is always a highlight for Tom and me. I will not tell you all that we heard in deference for those who will be attending Celebration North next month. Suffice it to say that we shed many happy and grateful tears! Monday morning Jerry Cisar, the senior pastor at Gulf Coast Community Church in St. Pete spoke on Reconciliation With One Another

Norah was a real trooper at her first conference. We stayed in the same room with her (Mommy and Daddy too of course!) and loved every minute of it! She didn't complain, attended most sessions, took her scheduled naps and smiled a lot!

The food at Word Of Life Camp was very good. Tom had a long conversation with the Chef who obviously LOVES his job! We shared one meal with Daniel - the pastor from Haiti! It was his 52nd birthday on Sunday, so we surprised him by singing "Happy Birthday" to him during Sunday night's main session, and Al Pino presented him with a birthday present. He was truly blessed by it all.

The messages will be available soon to download for free if you are interested in hearing what was taught. Check the Celebration South website for information later this week!
