We have learned a new worship song at our church, and I love the message. It's called The Stand, by Hillsong United. Throughout all generations God has called His people to stand through all kinds of adversity. In my family it was my grandmother who was drawn to God through the trials that He allowed her to face. At the time, she endured suffering that for many of us would have been too much to bear, but God knew that it would be those very things that would awaken her heart to love Him. So as her granddaughter looking back, I can thank God for the trials she endured, for because of it my Mom was introduced to the grace of God at a young age. And I have been the beneficiary of two generations that love God. Now holding my granddaughters (almost 10 months old) what a joy it is to pray for them as my Mom and Grandmother did for me. What a privilege it is to be a part of God's marvelous work in building His church. So, with the great cloud of witnesses, that includes my grandmother and Dad, it's a joy to commit once again to Stand, no matter the trials, no matter the difficulty. God will give me the strength to not only Stand, but to endure for His glory!
