Heather and cousin PJ enjoying ribs at TGIFridays - Yum-O!

Happy Birthday Heather!

Today we celebrate the gift that Heather is to our family. For twenty-two years she has made us laugh with the way she interprets life. I have watched her grow from a tiny baby to a petite toddler to a curious child always looking for answers to questions I've never considered, (like, Mommy, if glass is made of sand, why is it clear?) and now to an amazing young woman who loves the Lord and loves to serve. We will celebrate her birthday on Memorial Day with her favorite - Baby Back Ribs on the grill! We got this recipe from Beverly Rejonis, and it has been her birthday menu of choice every year since. If you never tried making these at home - maybe this weekend you'll discover it's your family's favorite too! Enjoy:

BBQ Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients:

2 lbs baby back ribs
1/2 c apple cider vinegar
water

Sauce:

1 c. ketchup
1 c. water
1 crushed clove garlic
2 t. chili powder
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
¼ c. sugar
2 t. dry mustard

Combine sauce ingredients; set aside. Cut ribs into individual pieces. Parboil for 30 minutes in water and ½ c. apple cider vinegar. Cook ribs on grill and baste with sauce
OR bake in oven at 350 for 45 minutes with sauce over top. You can bake longer if covered with foil.

Delicious!
