AND THE WINNER IS...

...the majority of you said you preferred my Blogger blog best, so this is the one I will keep! Thank you for taking the time to vote.

Tom and I just returned from Buffalo, New York, to attend the funeral of his Uncle Bill, who was married to Tom's Mom's sister, Gracie for 30 years before her untimely death in 1982. His passing was unexpected, so the emotions were quite deep in all of us. It was good to see Tom's cousins, Louie and David and to spend time with their families. We also saw Tom's Aunt Carol, on his Dad's side briefly at the viewing.

The weather was beautiful - highs in the 50's and lows in the 40's. All day Wednesday was spent at the funeral home as friends and family paid their respects to Bill. We spent the day yesterday driving through the countryside, stopping at a local farm to buy apples and gourds, and shopping at an antique store that his cousin partially owns. We were only there one night, but we managed to squeeze in all that we love most about visiting there - family, food (I forgot to mention the Buffalo wings and pizza we had!), farms and shopping!

It was a quick trip, but oh, so worth it! We only wish we had more time with Tom's extended family. Click on the picture below to access the slide show.
