What Did You Affectionately Call Your Grandmothers?

I have uploaded a poll to find out...you'll see it on the right column below my profile. I hope you'll take the time to take part. The poll ends on July 31st, so don't delay. It will be fun to see which name for Grandma is the most popular. If the name you used for your Grandmothers aren't listed, please select other, and then, comment on this post with the names you affectionately used. Thanks, and have a great day!

The link is not working for some reason. Not real original but my grandparents were called grandma and grandpa. Maybe it is a northern thing?

On one side of the family it was Nanny and Papa, the other Mammaw and Pops.

For me as you know, my Italian grandparents were Nonna & Papa Nonno.
It's wonderful to keep up the tradition and be a Nonna now myself!
(Jim is taking some of that, as "Papa" :-)

Nanny was not not on there and Mammaw on my dad's side.

Debi,
As usual, you have come up with a great, creative idea. This is a wonderful way for you to use your writing talents for your future generations. We called my mom's mother, Granny D (her last name was Duggan.) Also, I only met my birth great-grandmother once, but she was called Yia-Ya which is Greek for grandmother.

Mine definitely qualifies as an "other"! Growing up, I just called both grandmothers "Grandma" (because we were so original), but my KIDS, however, have fun names for our moms. The only creative way we could help Bekah differentiate between the two when she was little was to call my mom Grandma Trapper (which was her dog), and Dan's mom Grandma Fred (her cat). Unfortunately that was a rather short-sighted method, though, because sadly, Trapper died, and Fred the Cat has run away. !! So our other kids have no clue why they call our moms what they do, but Grandma Trapper and Grandma Fred they will always remain! :)

Since you asked... :)

Susan, How funny! I don't think that method would work for us - our cat's name is "Wizzer". :-) Grandma Wizzer hmmm...I think NOT!

Very fun idea - I had a Mommom - my mom's mom and a Grandma - my Dad's mom. Jason's grandma was Granny. Now my mom, although obviously, WE don't call her this but all the new little ones in our family do - is Grammy.

I called both of my grandmothers Grandmom. Our family, too, is greatly creative. My kids call my mother Grandmom and Bob's mom Grandma. Mia calls me Grandmom and will quickly correct you if she hears you refer to me as Grandma. Ella calls me Ma-Mom and her mommy is Mommy. That will pass quickly, I'm afraid as Ella is learning to pronouce her "gr" sound.
